RECIPE: Texas Peach Smoothie

Posted by MELINDA NELSON on

It’s summertime in Texas, and that means the weather is HOT and the peaches are sweet. Not only are they fun to pick and delicious to consume, peaches are also known to:

  1. Promote better skin: Peaches contain vitamin C, which can help reduce wrinkles and improve skin texture.¹
  2. Boost immunity: Both the zinc and vitamin C found in peaches have antioxidant properties that can help fight infections.²
  3. Fight obesity-related diseases: In a 2012 study from Texas A&M, researchers found that stone fruits like peaches, plums, and nectarines contain compounds that have anti-obesity, anti-inflammatory and anti-diabetic properties.³
